Over the last couple of months, we have been witnessing horrifying events which shook the whole world, but it is safe to say that those events are not caused my humans, it is so painful to call an individual a human who walked into a mosque a (holy place of worship) with a semi-automatic weapon and opened fire killing 51 people and streaming this hatred to the dark web.
At this point when the wounds of the Christchurch mass shooting victims and their families in New Zealand were still fresh only two months after that disaster two consecutive alarming mass shooting happened again this time in USA in the States of Texas and Ohio leaving 31 lives in graves.
Giving this rating driven media an irrelevant debate of whether this act of violence is considered terrorism or is it something else. Every channel every pundit every single analyst trying to prove that the “white supremacy” is leading to terrorism and which is the biggest threat, but what people really need to talk about is the root cause of this violence, labeling it terrorism is not necessary at this point, people who are dead does not want to know if they were killed by a terrorist or a depressed mentally ill person, we just don`t want more people to follow them in graves.
Let me address the root cause and what’s leading these human to act inhuman, well I believe this is not an overnight thing, this takes many years to develop that mental stage where it`s okay for you to kill someone. I believe the modern games, depression - hatred, the dark web, no social life, Social Media, Tv Media and white supremacy helps develop that mindset, and we`ll discuss how.
Imagine a kid watching his elder brother playing GTA , a senseless game allows you to go on the streets and do whatever you want, you can kill , you can rob, life looks so easy and you get whatever you want, it`s a fantasy that you lived all your childhood, that fantasy is now in your sub-conscious mind that you want live. As you grew older your games became more violent and you become more ruthless, Fortnite, PUBG these all games allows you to take out your frustration and they are so addictive, I understand the fun part of it , I completely do but I am talking about the impact these thing leave on a human mind.
Now we all know that without having a social life we get depressed and we turn to addictive activities, they get frustrated easily , they don`t listen , they avoid social interactions all they want is to live in that virtual world they have created for themselves because they are valued in that world, the fantasy which they have created to isolate themselves form the real world.
In comes the dark web, now you take a socially disturbed, super addicted kid and you gave him a platform to share his hatred where the only people who can see his hatred will do nothing but enhance it. The whole Christchurch mass shooting was live streamed on the dark web and the shooter who was involved in El Paso is also reported to be motivated from the site 8chan which is a home for users who want to discuss mass shootings and racist, anti-Muslim, anti-Semitic and anti-gay ideologies, it is required to find out the extent to which the suspect was radicalized.
Now let’s discuss the political side, the so called “White Supremacy” and the divided approach. We live in a country of immigrants, our unity lies in our diversity, when politicians exploit people in terms of race religion and color , when they differentiate US OURS and WE to THEM THEIRS and THEY, this creates hatred among people, hatred among communities, that follows a debate and the consequences of which we all suffer in our daily lives.
To conclude this argument, I believe that there is more than one issue to address and we can only do that when we stop dividing and start uniting people.
